Heath Ledger and Saturn Return



Like most astrologically curious folks, I decided to look up actor Heath Ledger’s birth chart this morning –and, lo and behold, things got “spooky”. Heath was smack in the middle of his Saturn return (Saturn in Virgo retrograde)!

In Astrology, a Saturn return is when the planet of Saturn comes back into the exact placement at the time of one’s birth. However, the effects of SR can also be felt before and after the time period too. Saturn returns happen to everyone –usually between the ages of 27-30. Since Saturn’s known as the ‘taskmaster’, it usually means it’s a milestone in one’s life –one that may be difficult yet teaches folks to ‘grow-up’ and become an adult. It can be called a cosmic ‘rite of passage’.

A Saturn Return does not cause untimely death, but as I look back at his birth chart in hind-sight, there were also some interesting transits and cosmic points. Honestly, the more I study, the more these things amaze me!

Heath Ledger was a talented, youthful actor and father –he will be missed.
