Seven Wonders - You Can Help Make History!
Yahoo News reports that history lovers are being invited to choose a new list of the Seven Wonders of the World! Out of 21 prospective sites, seven will be chosen by votes from people around the globe.
The vote is organized by a non-profit Swiss foundation called New7Wonders. The foundation specializes in the preservation, restoration and promotion of monuments. The voting results will be announced on July 7, 2007 (07-07-07) in Lisbon.
The twenty-one nominees are pictured and listed on their website, where YOU can vote! Votes can be made online, at www.new7wonders.com.
Two sites which have my vote are the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt and Stonehenge in the UK. So, tell us, which two sites have your vote? Send us a comment and let us know!

What? You mean Viggo Mortensen is not on the list? ;)
Seriously though, my vote is for the city of Petra. Considering it was built in the day and age before modern construction equipment, it is truly a wonder of the world.
